Now for part two of your Team Stryker double header! I was really hoping I wasn’t going to have to do another double header so soon but I ended up doing a last minute road trip for the Easter weekend. Hopefully now that things have settled down I’ll be able to bring you Team Stryker on it’s regular schedule.
Today’s page has been the most fun to write so far as I get to introduce Team Stryker’s next assignment in the form of Justine Beaver. It’s no secret that I’m no fan of Mr. Bieber, so when it came time to do a satire of someone that has totally sold out it was no contest. Turning Bieber into a woman was a lot easier that it would be with some people, but it was a lot of fun designing her outfits. She started off much more hipster and slowly became more of a diva over the course of the design process.
Drawing Madison Square Garden was a huge challenge for me as I don’t draw a ton of architecture so I’m trying to force myself to put Team Stryker in places where I’m going to have to flex my drawing muscles as much as possible. MSG is a hard building to draw in perspective since it’s a curved building. While still not perfect, it was a great experience for me and a good warm up for what I have in store for the rest of the issue.
Have a good one kids and I’ll see you back here on Wednesday for the black and white version!
